How it works
From checkout to verified fulfilment in four steps.
OrderConfirmation.in adds one structured verification step between an order being placed and that order being shipped.
Step 1
Customer places an order
The order is created in the merchant's store as usual. Nothing changes at checkout for the shopper.
Step 2
Order-confirmation message on WhatsApp
One order-confirmation message is sent to the phone number the customer provided at checkout. It shows the order number, items, value, payment mode and delivery address.
Step 3
Customer confirms or submits a request
The customer taps Confirm Order, Cancel Order or Request Address Update. Address updates open a short form for name, address, city, state and postal code. There is no free-form chat.
Step 4
Merchant handles fulfilment
The response appears against the order as a status. The merchant reviews it and decides: proceed to ship, stop the order, or update the address before dispatch.
Request vs. action
The customer requests. The merchant decides.
A response never changes an order by itself. It gives the merchant the information to take the right fulfilment action.
